general information:

  • what is indie darling? our goal is to support indie culture and that could be a lot of things (music, comics, arcade games, etc). we operate as a bar and venue to pay the bills to facilitate this. please help us support this mission!

  • where are you located? indie darling is at 537 stevenson st, san francisco, ca 94103.

  • what are your hours of operation? we’ll post our hours when we open in fall 2026.

  • is there parking available? while we don’t have a dedicated lot and street parking is limited there are nearby public garages:
    Ikea on 6th, 469 Jessie St, SF City Park on Mason, HPM on Golden Gate, 5th and Mission Garage (Metreon), United SF Park on Mission.
    we also recommend taking public transportation. we’re a very short walk from the ‘civic center’ bart and muni station. 

food & drink policies:

  • can I order/bring in food to the bar & arcade? yes, but we should have onsite food options available often through popups or food trucks.

  • do you offer non-alcoholic drinks? yes, we have a variety of non-alcoholic beverages to cater to all guests. see our menu for details. 

  • can i bring outside drinks? no, but our bar offers a fantastic selection of beverages.

guests & reservations:

  • do you allow kids or families? indie darling is 21+ only. if we could not sell alcohol one day a week to be all-ages, we would, but that’s not how the laws are written.

  • do you id everyone? yes, we check ids for all patrons. 

  • do i need reservations? reservations are not required, but they are recommended for large groups or special occasions.

  • can i reserve a specific game or gaming area? currently, we do not offer game-specific reservations, but our private event space can be booked for exclusive access.

  • do you accept walk-ins? yes, walk-ins are always welcome!

games & experiences:

  • what types of games do you have? we feature a mix of rare indie arcade cabinets, unique pinball machines, and one-of-a-kind gaming experiences. view all our games here to see what’s currently on location. 

  • do i need to pay to play the games? yes. the games cost quarters to play. we have an atm and change machines in the bar. if you buy too many quarters, we will buy them back from you at the bar if you’d like.

  • are the games suitable for beginners or non-gamers? absolutely! our games are designed to be fun and accessible for everyone.

  • do the games change often? yes, we rotate games regularly to keep things fresh and exciting.

  • can i suggest a game for the bar & arcade? we’d love your input! send us your suggestions through our contact page.

events & parties:

  • do you host tournaments? yes! we host regular gaming tournaments. check our events page for upcoming dates.

  • do you host private parties or corporate events? absolutely! we have lots of different options for different size parties from 15 people to 500.

  • what kinds of events do you host? from birthday parties to corporate team-building events, we’ve got you covered.

  • can i celebrate my birthday at indie darling? yes! contact us to make your birthday extra special.

venue & amenities:

  • is there a cover charge? no, entry is free, but certain events may have ticketed admission.

  • what’s your vibe like? indie darling has multiple floors/areas and our ground floor bar is a bit classy and other areas are more chill.

  • do you have wi-fi? yes, free wi-fi is available for all patrons.

  • is indie darling pet-friendly? unfortunately, pets are not allowed unless they are certified service animals.
